Ultrafix

Ultrafix Plus is a fast curing adhesive for anchoring threaded rod, studs and deformed bar into concrete and masonry. Recommended uses include timber bottom plate hold down, gate hinges, starter bars for masonry walls and pouring adjacent concrete slabs.

Ultrafix Plus uses a standard caulking gun and is safe for use in interior and exterior domestic applications.

How to use

Ultrafix
  1. Select the correct size masonry drill bit from the chart provided on product.
  2. Drill hole into substrate with rotary percussive machine.
  3. Clean hole with stiff wire or nylon brush. Blow out dust with compressed air or hand pump. Hole may be damp but no water present.
  4. Unscrew cap and pull red tab out. Screw on mixing nozzle. Load cartridge into standard caulking gun. Dispense adhesive to waste until colour changes to grey.
  5. Solid substrate. Insert nozzle into bottom of hole. While squeezing trigger to inject adhesive, gradually with draw nozzle until hole is full. Insert threaded rod or reinforcing bar to bottom of hole while rotating to and fro to avoid trapping air. Load fixing when adhesive has cured. Refer to chart on product for details.
  6. Hollow substrate. Insert perforated sleeve into hole. Insert nozzle to bottom of sleeve. While squeezing trigger to inject adhesive, gradually with draw nozzle until hole is full. Insert threaded rod or reinforcing bar to bottom of hole while rotating to and fro to avoid trapping air. Load fixing when adhesive has cured. Refer to chart on product for details.
  7. Clean up when uncured use acetone. When cured use a scraper.
  8. For re-use and to preserve contents between uses, leave nozzle in place. When ready to re-use replace nozzle with spare.
