Timber Screws

Buildex self-drilling timber screws are suitable for fixing into timber and thin steel thicknesses of up to 0.6mm.

They are available in a variety of finishes and unique product features to suit a wide range of environmental conditions.

Selection Guide

Wafer Head

Suitable for jobs needing a low profile head, e.g., metal deck clips, electrical fittings, signs, etc.

Pan Head

Suitable for general fixing to Timber, e.g., brackets, fittings, etc.

Countersunk Head

Suitable for jobs requiring a flush finish, e.g., furniture, hinges, brackets, etc.

Countersunk Rib Head

Suitable for jobs requiring a flush finish, e.g., furniture, flooring, etc.

Self-Embedding Head

Suitable for general fixing to Timber, e.g., walls, wet area linings, particleboard flooring to timber joists, etc.

Bugle Head Batten

Suitable for fixing roofing battens to timber rafters or fastening heavy timbers where a flush finish is required, e.g., fencing, furniture, pergolas, boardwalks, etc.

Tamper Resistant Head

Suitable for Security Fixings, e.g., security grilles, signs, etc

Ripple Teks®

Suitable for fixing mini-corrugated sheeting to timber, e.g., Interior walling/ceiling, wall cladding, etc.

Suitable for fixing timber or thin steel, e.g., furniture, pergolas, gates and fences, etc.

How to use

Buildex® Timber Screws
  1. Select a screw with the correct head style for the job.
  2. Choose a screw long enough to provide 30mm embedment into the wood being fastened to.
  3. Choose the correct driver for the screw being used.
  4. Fix driver to a power screwdriver set to at least 1500rpm.
  5. Put screw onto driver and place at fastening position.
  6. Push sharply on screwdriver to create a starting point.
  7. Squeeze screwdriver trigger and maintain firm end pressure until screw has drilled and fastened.
